Athens, GA (Future150) -- The Georgia Bulldogs have been all over a big time Sophomore guard out of Athens for quite some time. Now other high majors are starting to jump in the picture.
2018 CG Drue Drinnon of East Jackson (GA) is one of Mark Fox's top priorities for the 2018 class, it seems. Georiga isn't the only local school who has offered Drinnon as Georgia Tech, and Georgia State have also extended him a scholarship. Along with, Charlotte, Florida, Kansas State, Memphis, Missouri, Tulsa, UT-Martin, VCU, and Virginia Tech.
"Right now Georgia is on me the hardest," Drinnon said. "Kansas, Tennessee, and UConn have started recruiting me a bit more as well."
The Future150 alum is definitely a hot commodity among 2018 prospects right now, and it's only a matter of time before the blueblood programs of college basketball start to get involved with him.
"I feel like most of the schools that want to recruit me will start coming once this summer gets here and they're actually allowed to talk to me," Drinnon said.
Drinnon is a high IQ combo guard, that is lightning fast and has a tremendous feel for the game. His ability to create plays, and score the ball on all three levels is what really makes him special.
While running with Team Thad on the Under Armour circuit this summer, Drue will be watched by a ton of big time coaches. Expect the offers to pour in during AAU season, as his stellar play among elite competition will be very impressive to the coaches watching him.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Drinnon's progress, along with the rest of our Georiga alumni's.
