Bryan, TX (Future150) -- 2018 SF Steven Henderson of Allen Academy (TX) was one of the best performers during Future150's camp season. After showing out this summer at Future150's Southwest Regional Camp in Houston, as well as our at our National Camp, we wanted to check in with Henderson.
"I felt like I showed my ability to score in multiple ways during the Southwest Regional Camp," Henderson said. "I can shoot outside and get to the rim, but I'm at my best when I'm attacking downhill."
Standing at 6'6 and checking in at 211 pounds on the scales, he is a strong-bodied wing that is certainly at his best when relentlessly attacking the rim as he stated above. Since August, Henderson has seen offers and interest head his way.
Henderson has collected offers from Midwestern State, Southwestern, and Texas Lutheran, who are all very respectable programs in their divisions. He has also seen recent interest from Dallas Baptist & DI programs Sam Houston State and UT-San Antonio.
"I'm planning on taking visits to Southwestern and Dallas Baptist," Henderson stated.
It will be interesting to see how his senior season plays out with multiple offers on the table along with interest from a few DI programs. The Future150 staff are full believers that he's quite a solid low-major prospect, but no matter where he ends up at the next level, he should be a very solid contributor right away due to his physicality and strong finishing abilities.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Henderson's recruitment process throughout his senior season.
