Nashville, TN (Future150) -- It's been another crazy week in the world of high school basketball recruiting. As usual, there have been commitments as well as decommitments.
Alabama's Brandon Roberts committed to the Samford Bulldogs, which was a HUGE recruiting coup for the Southern Conference school. Nashville native Darius Thompson decided that his hometown team, the Vanderbilt Commodores, may not be the best fit for him, so he decided it was time to open things back up recruiting wise.
BYU continued to flex its recruiting muscles by landing Arizona swingman Jake Toolson, a 2014 prospect.
As we gear up for state tournaments all over the country over the next week, Future150 unveils its first annual "Prospect of the Week"
Future150 Prospect of the Week: 2015 PG Hasan Abdullah
The 5'10" floor general had a great week, leading his Clay Chalkville High School (AL) team to their first ever Alabama Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history, where they eventually lost to Mountain Brook High School.
On the season, he averaged roughly 10 points, eight assists, and four steals per game, while shooting 55% from the field and nearly 80% from the free throw line. Along the way, he has commanded attention from plenty of division one schools.
This weekend, he will be taking an unofficial visit to Murray State. Congratulations to the Future150 Alum on his big week!
