Houston, TX (Future150) -- The inaugural Future150 Final Four Weekend tournament kicked off this weekend, with a number of talent prospects playing their way onto the radar.
The 14U division showcased a number of players who will be certainly be ones to keep an eye on moving forward. The Houston Cowboys topped the rest of the competition though, and won the title.
Talented guard Jaden Embra seemingly did it all for the Cowboys this weekend and stepped up when his teammates needed him the most. Who else stood out last weekend? Read on to find out:
Alex Butter, 2020 PG, Elevation Sports: Butter is a talented point guard prospect who did a good job of running the offense and controlling tempo. He made the correct passes and was able to get to the rim at times as well.
Chris Ngene, 2020 CF, Texas Inferno: Ngene is a very effective rebounder who also did a good job of scoring with his left hand and has an innate scoring ability. He is also a good slasher and was able to put points on the board all weekend.
Kendrick Fontenot, 2020 PF, Louisiana Rockets: Fontenot did a good job of scoring on the low bolock through contact. He has decent strength for his position and showed some advanced post moves for a player his age as well.
Shannon Johnson, 2020 PF, Texas Inferno-Black: Johnson is a talented post player who made himself known to the Future150 staff with his ability to score in the post. He had decent moves on the low block and surprisingly good footwork. Depending on how much more he grows, football may be his ultimate calling, but there's no doubting he was one of the better forwards in the 14U division.
Xavier Gallinares, 2020 SF, Urban Kings: Gallinares was a bit of a "do-it-all" type player for the Kings this weekend. He rebounded the ball very well and was able to finish through contact. He also showed the ability to create off the dribble and attack in transition.
Emerson Haywood, 2020 SG, Swagg Crusaders: Haywood can really score the ball and is capable of putting points up on all three levels. He has decent vision and is able to create for teammates as well. Simply put, he has the full offensive package.
