Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- Future150’s national rankings take center stage with revealing the number one player in the country for the 2014 class.  With the launching of Future150 national recruiting web site, we continue the countdown and let’s take a look at 1-10. The competition at the top of the rankings is stiff.  The top 3 spots in country are pretty much interchangeable.  The number one player in the country is a Chicago product named Jahlil Okafor that stands 6-foot-9 inches and 270 pounds .  He has a body that absolutely pounds you on the low block and is a force on the defensive end of the floor.  Being compared to Jared Sullinger from Ohio St, Okafor has the size and skill to dominate the game whenever he chooses.

Class Rank: #2
Andrew Wiggins- Pos: SF | Ht: 6’7” | Wt: 190 | Pos. Rank: 1
(Ontario, Canada) High School: Huntington Prep | AAU: CIA Bounce

Wiggins is a long skilled wing who can score from anywhere on the floor.  He can play multiple positions due to his athleticism and length.  He shows tremendous quickness off the bounce which allows him to get to the rim against smaller players.  His size at the wing position separates him from the rest of the class.

Class Rank: #3
Wayne Selden- Pos: SG | Ht: 6’4” | Wt: 200 | Pos. Rank: 1
(Tilton, New Hampshire) High School: Tilton | AAU: BABC

Seldon is a big bodied scorer who likes to use his size to muscle his way to the rim and can finish with contact.  He has elite athleticism and the skills of a point guard distributing the ball with his court vision. Look for Seldon to make a big push for the number one spot as the summer gets started.

Class Rank: #4
Cliff Alexander-Pos: PF | Ht: 6’9” | Wt: 240 | Pos. Rank: 1
(Chicago-IL) High School: Curie | AAU: D-Rose All Stars

Alexander is a quick for a post player and shows good athleticism for a player his size.  He reminds me of Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls, due to he is an elite rebounder.  He is a game changer due to he can control the paint not only scoring but blocking shots as well.    He uses both hands around the basket and has a nice baby hook.  Being from Chicago, He and Okafor have gotten to play each other with Alexander delivering the goods.

Class Rank: #5
Craig Victor-Pos: PF | Ht: 6’8” | Wt: 200 | Pos. Rank: 2
(New Orleans, LA) High School: St. Augustine
AAU Team: Louisiana Select

Victor is a smooth skilled face up four man that can score in a variety of ways.  He can post you up on the low block or turn a face and knock down shots from the mid range.  He is a heady player who likes to take advantage of his opponent once he asses his weakness.

Class Rank: #6
Noah Vonleh-Pos: PF | Ht : 6’7” | Wt: 205 | Pos. Rank: 3
(Haverhill, NH)  High School: New Hampton Prep | AAU: Mass Rivals

Vonleh is a gifted player who plays with a high motor you just don’t find in a lot of players these days.  As his skills grow shooting the ball from the outside so will his stock.  He has the skills of a small forward and the rebounding ability of a center.  His strong build and aggressiveness allows him to finish through contact at the rim.

Class Rank: #7
Leron Black: Position: SF | Ht: 6’7” | Wt: 200 | Pos. Rank: 2
(Memphis, TN) High School: White Station | AAU: Memphis YOMCA

Black is a super long wing who can score from both inside and out.  He likes to take smaller players in the post and bigger players off the dribble when attacking the basket.   He rebound’s the ball extremely well from the wing position.

Class Rank: #8
Tyus Jones
-Pos: PG | Ht: 6’1” | Wt: 160 | Pos. Rank: 1
(Apple Valley, MN) High School:Apple Valley | AAU:Minnesota Magic

Jones is clearly the top point guard in the class.  He has the canning ability to score and make his teammates better with his court vision.  His ball handling is really good and he’s the type of player who can go get you a basket if his team needs to score.  He is a pure point guard in every since of the word.

Class Rank: #9
Emmanuel Mudiay
-Pos: SG | Ht: 6’4” | Wt: 185 | Pos. Rank: 2
(Arlington, TX) High School: Grace Prep | AAU Team: Family First

Mudiay is a tremendous athlete who can do a variety of things with his game.  He can score in bunches or make his teammates better with the pass.  He loves attacking the rim in transition and can finish with the best of them.  Once he shows more consistency  and learns to settle down some his game will take care of the rest.

Class Rank: #10
Dakari Johnson-Pos: C | Ht: 6’10” | Wt: 260 | Pos. Rank: 2
(New York, NY) High School: Montverde Academy
AAUTeam: New York Gauchos

Johnson is a true center.  His ability to move up and down the floor might be his biggest advantage in his game at such a young age.  His overall size and ability to catch the ball, rebound and finish makes him a tough guard in the post.  He likes to shoot over his opponent and has an excellent game from 10 feet.
