College Park, MD (Future150) -- With the spring signing period getting closer, dominoes are beginning to fall and less impact players remain available.
Future150 Alum Micah Thomas had cut his list to just Maryland and Louisville, and on Tuesday he chose the Terps. A 6-foot-7 wing, Thomas can really shoot the ball and has decent athleticism to boot.
His size allows him to guard bigger players and will make him a versatile piece that fits well with fellow 2016 commits Anthony Cowan and Kevin Huerter. With the way that Maryland has developed wings, expect Thomas to be used similarly to Dez Wellls.
The Terps still have one scholarship left, and have been linked to five-star wing Terrance Ferguson. It will be interesting to see if they can get out in front of the other programs and pull a commitment from the Dallas native. Regardless if they do or not, Maryland has assembled a very successful class and Thomas will be an important player for the Terps moving forward.
