Brooklyn, NY (Future150) -- New York City has a long and rich tradition of producing talented guards. Lincoln has an especially rich tradition, with the likes of Stephon Marbury, Sebastian Telfair, Lance Stephenson and Isaiah Whitehead all coming out of the Coney Island program. Donald Cannon-Flores is one of the more slept on guards in the class of 2017 and is emerging as one of the top guards in the city.

At 6-foot-1, he has dropped down to 180 pounds, helping him improve his speed and conditioning. With great vision and an innate ability to score the ball, Cannon-Flores is an intrigiung combo guard.

"I feel like we can win a city and then a state title with this team, we have a lot of talent, it's a lot of fun playing with these guys," he said.

A number of schools have shown interest in Cannon-Flores in recent months. UNC-Wilmington was the first to offer, while Miami and Richmond showed interest. Florida and Providence are the most recent schools to reach out and both are making a push.

"I'm definetly trying to get to Providence and UNC-W this month, I want to check both of those schools out, said Cannon-Flores.

It seems as though it is only a matter of time before other programs get involved. He is only getting in better shape and will grow a couple more inches as well. If the fall season is any indicator, Cannon-Flores will be an integeral for the RailSplitters and will pick up a number of offers along the way.
