Flagstaff, AZ (Future150) -- As the popularity of basketball on a global scale continues, players from all across the world are looking for opportunity in the states to pursue their dreams. Many of these players are looking to academies and prep schools for a chance to gain exposure, improve their English, and prepare for basketball in America.
A great example of this can be seen in Aurimas Majauskas. Majauskas is a 6’8 230-pound senior power forward from Lithuania who is playing for Future College Prep out of Los Angeles, California this season.
The powerful European forward is more of an Arvydas Sabonis than a Dirk Nowitski though. Majauskas has a solid build and loves to bang in the post. Future College Prep Head Coach Les Bean praises the forward’s footwork and strength, calling him a “banger” and a “force down low”.
Majauskas also has a face up game, and range on his jump shot out to fifteen feet. The power forward shoots over 50% from the floor and an impressive 80% from the free-throw line as well. At Future College Prep Majauskas is averaging roughly 14 points and eight rebounds a game.
Majauskas is currently receiving interest from Utah Valley, Sam Houston State, South Dakota State University, Fordham and Coastal Carolina.
