Pottsville, PA (Future150) -- It was an eventful Thursday for the Kansas Jayhawks and the Florida State Seminoles, who both picked up significant local recruits for the future of their respective programs.

Kansas Adds Super Athlete Agbaji For 2018

The Jayhawks struck by adding local rapid-riser Ochai Agbaji to their 2018 class. The Oak Park (MO) 6'5" wing had become the hottest recruit in the senior class since the beginning of the new year, adding scholarship offers from Kansas, Nebraska, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Texas A&M and Wisconsin after starting the new year with zero scholarship offers.

His senior season averages of 27.2 points and 9.6 rebounds are impressive, and there's a very good chance this commitment pays big dividends as he grows and develops in the Kansas system.

Playing with MOKAN Elite over the summer, he averaged 5.4 points per game while playing alongside Jontay Porter & Malik Hall. He joins Devon Dotson, Quentin Grimes & David McCormack in the Jayhawks stellar 2018 class.

FSU Strikes With In-State Forward Nwokeji

The Florida State Seminoles added a significant piece to their 2019 recruiting class by picking up a commitment from Maclay School (FL) forward Zimife Nwokeji. The Tallahassee product is a versatile 6'7" forward who can do a variety of things on both ends of the floor, and is the type of player that has flourished for the Seminoles in recent years under Leonard Hamilton.

Currently rated as the #85 prospect in the 2019 class by Future150, the four-star recruit is the first commitment for Florida State in the 2019 cycle.
