Pottsville, PA (Future150) -- While the 2020 class is only beginning their careers in the 9th grade, one point guard in particular has been on the scene since the 4th grade. Lancaster High School (TX) floor general Mike Miles had a Ballislife video drop on his advanced skills while still in elementary school, making him the focal point of Dallas hoops ever since. However, he hasn't bought into his own hype along the way.
After shining at the 2016 Future150 Elite24 All-American Camp, the 5'10" Miles has started his freshman season strong, recently earning a TCU offer.
"I like their program. I love how they let their guards play. It was exciting because I didn't think I would get any offers my freshman year," he recently told Future150.
Taking his talents to Lancaster High School, coming off back-to-back state titles, the creative point man is gunning for lofty goals in his first season with the Tigers.
"I'm trying to take this team back to state, win, and get that three-peat. Along the way, I'm trying to become more physical and more vocal," he said.
Having already matched up against one of the elite offensive prospects in the country in Future150 alumnus Trae Young, Miles is seeing his interest grow on the other side of the ball.
"I never really liked playing defense before, but the better I get at it, the more I like it," he went on to say.
While his 4th grade Ballislife mixtape was his first, it was far from his last. And while the TCU offer was his first high-major offer, it certainly will not be his last.
