North Augusta, GA (Future150) -- Future150 is back on the road this weekend, this time live from North Augusta to take in the 2012 King James Southern Exposure Showcase. Not only did we have the opportunity to see some new talent, but we also got to see some prospects that we saw last weekend. Reed Dungan continued to show he possesses the attributes to run a team as a point guard, and Harold Givens showed off his athleticism, as usual. Here are some kids that stood out to us in the opening day.

2013 Class

Sidy Mohamed - Pos: C | Ht: 6’11” |
(North Augusta, SC) High School: Northwood Temple Academy | AAU: Upward Stars

While he is still quite a project, Mohamed showed glimpses of being a talented player. At 6-foot-11, he blocked shots and altered those he did not get a hand on. He is very raw, but with some work on his post moves, he could easily be a nice piece for a school. Virginia Tech was one of the main schools in attendance to see him today.

Josh Dominguez - Pos: SG | Ht: 6’4” |
(Matthews, NC) High School: Metrolina Christian | AAU: Charlotte Jets

Dominguez admitted he didn't have a particularly good shooting game, but he made up for it by driving to the goal and getting easy buckets in transition. There were several alley-oops he converted throughout the game, making him look bigger than his actual height. He lists Hampton, UNC-Greensboro, and Liberty, among other schools.

Trey Mitchell - Pos: SF | Ht: 6’5” |
(Charlotte, NC) High School: Olympic | AAU: Charlotte Jets

Hampton also wanted to checkout this wing. With his long and lanky body, Mitchell utilized some nice passing throughout the game, whether it was in transition or the halfcourt. He has exceptional vision to complement his passing. However, he will have to get stronger to be a successful player at the next level.

Al-Fatir Williams - Pos: PG | Ht: 6’2” |
(Fayetteville, NC) High School: Fayetteville Christian | AAU: Fayetteville Stars

J.J. Frazier - Pos: PG | Ht: 5’9” |
(Glennville, GA) High School: Faith Baptist Chrisitan | AAU: South Georgia Kings

This current Georgia commitment was very impressive as well. Frazier has elite quickness and uses it to be effective on both ends of the floor. He has a nice, polished offense arsenal. This includes pick-and-roll plays, as well as attacking the rim and some stepback jumpers. However, he used his quickness and hands to take over on defense. He was very aggressive and gritty to lead his scrappy Kings team. Prior to committing to Georgia look for him to make a big run in our next rankings update.

Aaron Scott - Pos: SG | Ht: 6’2” |
(Hinesville, GA) High School: Liberty County | AAU: South Georgia Kings

Scott showed the ability to play both guard positions, as well as defend both positions. He is a solid ball-handler that goes very well with his mid-range game. His threat off the dribble opened up a lot of opportunities from 3, which he showed the ability to knockdown, too. Tulane, Murray State, East Carolina, Northeastern, Presbyterian, Jacksonville, and Alabama State have all extended offers to Scott thus far; Georgia, College of Charleston, and Furman are also expressing interest.

DeRunnya Wilson - Pos: SF | Ht: 6’5” |
(Birmingham, AL) High School: Wenonah | AAU: Birmingham Ice

Williams is a coach’s dream in terms of playing hard and getting after opposing players. He has a high motor and never gives up on a play. He is an excellent offensive rebounder. His jump shot, along with some other offensive tools, are still a work in progress, though.

2014 Class

Isaiah Manderson - Pos: C | Ht: 6’10” |
(Augusta, GA) High School: Westside | AAU: Southern Kings

To put it plain and simple, Manderson was the player that impressed us the most on Day 1. With a big body and great strength, he battled inside constantly. However, he also displayed some quickness in his post moves that was a bit deceptive. Not many schools are on him right now, but after this weekend and the rest of the initial live period, that is sure to change.

JaKeenan Gant - Pos: SF | Ht: 6’7” |
(Springfield, GA) High School: Effingham County | AAU: Southern Stampede

Gant is a super-long wing that uses his long arms to block and affect others' shots. He did that often on Friday evening. He also likes to attack the rim, but he showed a nice floater to use against opposing big men. He runs the floor very well and he finished at (or above) the rim several times. Expect to hear a lot more about him, too.

2015 Class

Luke Kennard - Pos: SG | Ht: 6’5” |
(Franklin, OH) High School: Franklin | AAU: King James Shooting Stars

Kennard was another great prospect that impressed us, and it was even more impressive to see how young he was. He is an all-around great player. He finished in traffic often, and he also showed good handles from the perimeter. The biggest asset for him may be his versatility though. Kennard can easily play any position from the 1 to the 3. He named an impressive list of schools that include Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Xavier, W. Virginia, Dayton, Purdue, Wisconsin, Minnesota & Detroit.
