Fort Worth, TX (Future150) -- After losing in the second round of the state playoffs last season, Fort Worth Dunbar is looking to get back to the top. With the newly re-aligned UIL in Texas, Dunbar is now 6A.

By moving up a division, Dunbar’s expectations have also grown. Coach Robert Hughes Jr. has full confidence in restoring the program his father, Robert Hughes Sr. spent three decades building.  Hughes Sr. ended his career as the national high school all time wins leader with 1,333 victories, surpassing another legend Morgan Wooten (Dematha High).

One player Coach Hughes is relying upon is the high-flying, All-League sharpshooter Logan Ray.

Ray is a 6-foot-2 shooting guard in the 2016 class. He averages 15 points and five assists per game. Ray is super athletic and has a strong build. While his shooting range is limitless, he does need to work on consistency. This season, Ray brought the crowd to their feet time and time again with his dunks and ankle-breaking moves.

Dunbar began the season ranked number 16, but hasn’t lived up to the preseason ranking thus far, They started out three games under .500. With league play beginning in the new year, Dunbar (2-5) should gain a lot of momentum.
