Dallas, TX (Future150) -- One of the more electric guards in the class of 2015 is none other than Roselle Catholic (NJ) combo-guard Isaiah Briscoe, after turning in a fantastic junior season alongside Asante Gist and Chris Silva that led to a deep run into the state playoffs.
While some tend to try and pigeonhole Briscoe into a position, he maintains that he is just is a player and isn’t trying to play one position in particular.
“I can do everything, I just try and make plays and help my team win,” he told us at the EYBL Dallas stop.
At 6-foot-3 he has good size and uses his ball-handling ability and quickness to get past his defender and get into the lane where he either kicks out to open teammates or finds a way to score around or through his defender. His vision and shooting ability make him an even more dangerous offensive weapon and it is easy to see why he is widely considered to be one of the best guard prospects in this class.
With schools such as Arizona, Rutgers, Miami, Louisville, LSU, Seton Hall, and UConn all vying for his services, it is clear that his recruitment will be hotly contested. It wouldn’t surprise us to see even more schools make a serious push and try to get into the mix with him as well.
“I just want to go somewhere that they love me and let me play my game,” said Briscoe.
With his entertaining style of play and ability to put points up in a hurry, almost any fan base in the country will love Briscoe from day one.
