Baton Rouge, LA (Future150) -- After pulling in a stellar six-man class in 2013, LSU was looking for more quality than quantity this year; and they got it in a big way. 7-foot center Elbert Robinson picked the Tigers over the likes of Ohio State, Kansas, and Georgetown; with the Buckeyes being their major competition.

The big man should have an immediate impact for the Tigers as a back to the basket scorer and adds depth to a suddenly loaded front court. By the time he sets foot on campus, both Jarrell Martin and Jordan Mickey will be sophomores. Assuming Johnny O' Bryant returns next year he will be a senior along with JuCo center John Odo.

It would appear that Robinson will have to come off the bench for the Tigers to start but could be thrust into a bigger role depending on who leaves early for the NBA. LSU is quickly becoming a spot for big time forwards to come through and it would appear that a return to the NCAA tournament is imminent.

Robinson also takes up the TIgers last available scholarship for 2014. If Austrailian guard Dante Exum also decides that Baton Rouge is for him, then things will get interesting. One thing is for sure, LSU will be a force on the interior for years to come.
