Columbus, GA (Future150) -- Loyola Marymount picked up a nice steal Wednesday afternoon, as 2013 Kingdom Prep (GA) combo guard Evan Payne made his commitment to the Lions.
Payne, a native of Cleveland, could not pass up the opportunity to play right away out West.
"I want to play a lot as a freshman, and LMU gives me that," Payne told Future150.com when asked about his commitment. "I want to go where I can play."
"It's also California," he laughed.
LMU is getting a talented scorer and athlete with Payne, who displayed his talent in several of the Future150 camps this year.
San Diego State, Cleveland State, Akron, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, and Nebraska were some other schools involved.
Payne is a four-star according to Future150.com and comes in at No. 63 in the 2013 Future150 rankings.
