Winston-Salem, NC (Future150) -- The East Tennessee State Buccaneers recently added a gem to their class of 2018 by landing guard Daivien Williamson of Winston-Salem Prep (NC). He chose ETSU over Drexel, Georgia Southern, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Wilmington, and Wofford among others.

"ETSU is a place where I felt really comfortable," Williamson said. "I have a great relationship with the coaching staff, and their style of play fits me perfectly."

So what are the Bucs getting in Williamson? The 6'2" combo guard has a flashy style of play and possesses sneaky bounce. He's at his best when slashing, attacking, and creating for others but his outside jumper has continually improved as well. His speed in the open floor is impressive, and he has all the tools to be an extremely tough match-up in the Southern Conference.

"They are actually graduating a few senior guards, so there is a good oppurtunity for to come in and get good minutes right away," Williamson said. "They want me to come in, score a lot of points, play fast, and hopefully held lead them back to the NCAA Tournament."

He plans on obtaining his master's degree in sports management at ETSU and it wouldn't surprise many people if he did help lead the Bucs to the big dance multiple times during his career.
