Concord, NC (Future150) -- 2016 CG Ethan Goude entered his senior season at Cox Mill (NC) receiving zero college interest, now he looks to be a promising D2 or D3 prospect.

Goude plays alongside elite 2019 wing Wendell Moore and has been helping shoulder the load for his team with his good decision making, and pure shooting from deep. He is also very unselfish with the basketball and will work hard to defend and rebound over taller players.

He has recently seen interest from a handful of D3 and JUCO schools as coaches are seeing what he could bring to the table as a knock down shooter, and a good defender.

"Johnson & Wales (NC), Randolph College (VA), Centenary (LA), and Davidson County Community College (NC) have all been showing interest lately," Goude said.

This may not seem like a big deal to some players but after going three years with hard work and no recruiting activity, this is a huge payoff to Goude. To see college coaches appreciate his game and what he could bring to the table as a player has to feel like a breath of fresh air.

"Ethan is the definition of a hard worker. He has put in his time on and off the court and has been patient waiting his turn. Playing behind all conference guards three years on Varsity, now his sacrifice is paying off," Said Coach Barbee of Cox Mill.

Goude is continuing to work hard and improve so he can see the ultimate reward and start adding offers to his, for now, empty list. The work isn't just now starting for Goude, it has been an everyday thing for quite a while now.

"He has a good skill set that he had worked on a ton this summer with our trainer Nick Trull. He is more than a shooter and can put the ball on the floor and finish with a variety of moves," Coach Barbee said.

The always famous quote, "you reap what you sow," is becoming inevitable for Goude and his initiative to continue to work hard and improve. Not only for the sake of a potential college career but for the sake of his team and helping lead them to as many wins as possible during his final year of high school.
