Louisville, KY (Future150) -- Since moving in to Cordia High School (KY) by way of Canada, 2013 point guard Emmanuel Owootoah has had to be patient before hitting the court. The senior has been waiting on eligibility news through the first half of the season.
However, those days are now behind the Canadian star, as he was ruled eligible by a Kentucky judge last week; in his first game, the 6-foot guard dropped 15 points, and those numbers should rise in the future.
Not only are fans excited about seeing Owootoah, but college coaches are intrigued by him, too. Since gaining his eligibility, several schools have contacted Cordia about the hot commodity. Arizona, Baylor, Providence, San Francisco, and Tennessee have shown interest.
Tennessee is expected to see him play Wednesday. UCLA is also said to be interested, as they have already extended an offer to Owootoah.
Expect more schools to enter the picture with this talented guard that has drawn comparisons to former North Carolina point guard Ty Lawson.
