Cornith, MS (Future150) -- One of Mississippi's elite shooters in the 2012 class made his decsion to go the Junior College route. After averaging 23 points his senior season for Cornith High School, Jordan Wyke pulled the trigger and decided to sign with Panola Junior College in Texas.
Wyke played his 16U AAU with Da House out of Cornith and followed that up with his 17U campaign with the Alabama Celtics, where he teamed up with teammates Petey McClain and Rhett Harrelson.
"Jordan is one of the best shooters I have seen in a long time. His range is when he walks in the gym," according to his AAU coach, Jason Pratt.
Look for Wyke to make a big splash at the Juco level taking the next step to Division 1. Coach Pratt was very fond of Jordan saying, "Jordan is a great kid who has been through a lot over the past three years and has always seemed to have a positive attitude striving to get better on and off the court."
You can credit most of that to his main mentor "Brother Gary" who has been in Jordan's life since he was a young boy. Gary Caveness has always made Jordan a priority through his Lighthouse Foundation helping the youth of Cornith, Miss.
Brother Gary stated, "The sky is the limit if Jordan just does what Jordan does and keeps his head to the grind stone like he has for the last three years."
Look for some 27-foot 3 point shots coming to a gym near you.
