Houston, TX (Future150) -- Dylan McCray is a rising Sophomore (2019) from Houston, Texas that plays at Westfield high school. McCray and his Texas PRO squad recently attended the Future150 Memorial Day Classic Tournament, and McCray made sure he showed everyone his raw skills and talents.
"I've just been trying to get better by leading and learning from other players and coaches," McCray said. "I've really been working with the team, trying to make everyone appreciate the talent they have."
Very good advice coming from such a young prospect. McCray is a versatile player that is capable of playing the one, two, and three spots. He really seems to excel off the ball, playing on the wing. McCray displayed his athleticism and potential as a lock-down defender at the MDC.
It is quite a surprise that McCray hasn't seen interest from any D1 programs yet. Yet he doesn't seem worried about this at all, and seems confident about the situation.
"I push myself so hard (when) I'm out there, so schools can get a chance to see me and begin to show interest in me," Said McCray. "Right now I'm just being patient and waiting for my time to come."
At the end of the day, it would be comical to think McCray walks away from high school without a division one offer on his list. He has the perfect mindset and should certainly be on everyone's 2019 watchlist, as it's only a matter of time before he starts getting the looks he deserves.
