Miami, FL (Future150) -- Florida Gulf Coast continues to capitalize on momentum that began during the 2013 NCAA Tournament, securing a commitment from 2014 guard Zach Johnson.
The Miami Norland (FL) combo guard is a significant pickup for the Eagles, joining combo guard Christian Terrell of Jacksonville Providence (FL), giving FGCU a dangerous backcourt for the future.
The two visited the school over the weekend to take part in "Dunk City After Dark", the school's Midnight Madness event. The Team Breakdown guard obviously came away impressed,
The 6-foot-2 scorer can play either guard spot. He's a strong bodied prospect who can get to the rim whenever he wants. He also has good athleticism and is a more-than-capable facilitator as well.
He chose the Eagles over interest from Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL), and several other big name programs.
Look for him to slide into the national rankings when Future150 updates our 2014 national rankings in the coming weeks.
