Minneapolis, MN (Future150) -- After a huge showing over the summer on the AAU circuit, Duke became the latest school to offer Minnesota big man Reid Travis of De La Salle High School.
The 6-foot-7 power forward had dominating performances at events such as the NBA Players Association Camp as well as the Orlando Super Showcase, where he won MVP honors after racking up 27 points and seven rebounds in the championship game, leading his Howard Pulley squad to the title.
The #39 prospect in the country had previously been considering schools such as Gonzaga, Michigan State, Minnesota, Stanford and UCLA. It will be interesting to see what kind of weight a Duke offer holds for the high-motor forward.
Keep in mind that the Blue Devils are serious contention for AAU teammate and good friend Tyus Jones, our #1 prospect in the 2014 class nationally. The two have excellent chemistry on the floor, and it will be interesting to see what kind of effect a Duke offer for Travis has on the two prospects.
