Houston, TX (Future150) -- 2017 PG Doc Nelson of Episcopal (TX) is an alumni of Future150's Houston camp series. Over the past year or so the staff has became very familar with his game and we have been able to watch him improve so much.

Now heading into his final year of high school as a committed prospect, he can put his full focus on his senior season on the hardwood!

"I'm very anxious to start the high school season," Nelson said. "I feel like we are the favorties to win it all, knowing that we finished runner-up in the state the past two years."

Episcopal has came that close to winning it all in the state of Texas the past two years, you would have to think that's left a bitter taste in the mouth of the rising seniors. The players will strive to do whatever they can to bring home the hardware this season. Nelson has a few things on his mind in what he can do better with.

"I just want to be a better leader on and off the court," Neslon said. "And preparing for college physically and mentally."

It's always good to get a head start on your preperation for division one basketball, Nelson certainly has the right mindset on that topic.

For those who don't know he committed to Weber State just a few months ago. Coach Rahe is gettng a stud in the backcourt that can lead a team and is not afraid of the big moment. With very good handles, court vision, and a fantastic scoring prowess he should be able to help the Wildcats almost immediately.

"The relationship I had with the coaches and players made me feel like apart of the (Weber State) family."

Nelson also mentioned that he will be taking an official visit soon to meet with his new coaches and discuss what their plans are for him next season and beyond.

"Not exactly sure about the date but within the next three weeks."

The Future150 alumni has a very bright future ahead of himself. Stay locked in with Future150 along the course of the high school season to see if Nelson can capture that state championship he's come so close to the past two years!
