North Charleston, SC (Future150) -- Over the past two camp seasons, their hasn't been a more successful prospect than South Carolina guard Eric Hayward.
The 6-foot-2 Fort Dorchester (SC) senior has been named a Future150 Camp All-Star four times, and was named a Future150 Camp All-American in both 2012 as well as 2013. That success has translated to his high school season this winter.
Leading his team to a 5-0 start, he is currently posting averages of 17.2 points, 7 assists, 6.5 rebounds and 4 steals. He is also shooting 75% from the free throw line on the year.
Despite his on court success, schools are still sleeping on the gritty guard. He can play both the point guard and shooting guard spot and is a fearless leader on the floor.
He is at his best when scoring the basketball, especially at the mid-range level. He is excellent when scoring off the bounce, and he is also a consistent three-point shooter. He is also a tenacious defender who takes pride in shutting down offensive stars.
Look for the Charleston Playmakers guard to start attracting college interest if he continues his strong season.
