As the high school season heads into the back end of it's schedule, fans have one eye on the class of 2017 in an attempt to see what players their teams are seriously recruiting. One player who will become a much more talked about name this spring is Newmann-Goretti's Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree.
The Philadelphia product had a nice showing on the AAU circuit last July, and has kept that strong play going throughout the winter. In a very competitive Philadelphia Catholic league, "DCR" looks poised to be one of the lead candidates for player of the year.
While he is currently ranked #124 in the top-150, he is in line for another big rise in the next update. The 6-foot-9 big man has gone from prospect to player in a short amount of time and could be the #1 candidate for breakout player of the live periods this coming April.
"I've been working on gettting stronger, and being able to knock down the mid-range jumper more, those things have really helped me improve," he said of his transformation.
