Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- Devin Mitchell has decided to end his recruitment earlier than expected.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Collins Hill (GA), announced his verbal pledge to Alabama on Wednesday.
"I am happy to say I will further my education and career at the University of Alabama," he said on Twitter.
The rising senior was also considering Memphis, Kansas State, UAB, Georgia, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, and Wake Forest.
Mitchell becomes the third player in the past two weeks to make a commitment to the Crimson Tide, as he follows in-state prospects Riley Norris and Justin Coleman.
The Georgia native was teammates with Coleman on the Georgia Stars, as he noted Coleman as "one of his favorite point guards to play with."
It was also a priority for Mitchell to play alongside Norrs.
Mitchell is a four-star and ranked No. 89 overall by Future150.com. That gives Anthony Grant three four-star recruits in the 2014 class.

Wow! Coach Grant & the Tide are really Rollin’ in their recruiting this year. I knew it was just a matter of time before he started to get some of the top players in the country. Auburn & UAB better tighten up!!!
