McDonough, GA (Future150) -- Future150 Camp alum and all-star DeJuan Hyde is a class of 2017 point guard that plays at New Creation Christian School in Georgia. Future150 got a chance to catch up with the Atlanta Camp All-Star, to see what's been going on since we last saw him in Alabama at All-American Camp at the beginning of October.

During some of the offseason, Hyde was attending Future150 camps and making all-star games with ease. This wasn't the only thing he has doing to get better though.

"I was either working out and perfecting my craft, or I was at home on Youtube studying players like Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, and Isaiah Thomas," Hyde said. "They really drove me (to focus on) being a Point Guard."

Standing at just 6'0" and around 150 pounds, Hyde isn't the most physically imposing point guard but he will blow by you in a blink of an eye with his elite speed and ball-handling abilities. Not to mention his fantastic court vision and versatility to run different types of offenses.

"My main focuses this offseason was to become a legit floor general and scoring as well, but that comes with the flow of the game," Hyde said. "I also had to get my mind right to make smart decisions on and off the court."

Definitely looking like a promising D2/D3 target, Hyde knows how to make smart decision on the court. It is amazing to watch how fast he plays yet he rarely turns the ball over or takes a bad shot.

Before he can focus on potentially playing basketball at the next level, his senior season at New Creation Christian just began, and Hyde and his teammates have some things in mind that they would like to accomplish this season.

"We want to go undefeated and win states, as we are currently 7-0. As the season wears on, I have to keep everyone in check as a point guard. I really consider myself a player-coach because when I'm on the floor I make sure we are playing organized team ball."

If you couldn't tell by now Hyde's basketball IQ and overall maturity with the game is a very pleasing feature to see, especially coming from a floor general type player.

Overall, his positives to his game outweigh his negatives way too much for him not to continue his basketball playing career beyond high school. Continue to follow along with Future150 as we follow Hyde while he closes out his high school career and seeks his way to the next level of basketball.
