North Little Rock, AR (Future150) -- Class of 2017 SF Deion Dobbins of North Little Rock (AR) is starting to see an uptick in his recruitment process now that coaches are seeming to realize his fantastic potential. It also helps that Dobbins has gotten better in a few areas of his game.
"I think my game has gotten better," Dobbins said. "I have learned to be smarter with the ball, and I'm learning to become a leader on the court."
Dobbins is a big time athletic wing with elite defensive abilities and an ever improving offensive skill set. He has all the qualities to make a fine wing player at the division one level of college basketball, and a few schools are looking into him.
"My recruitment has been going good lately," Dobbins said. "Abilene Christian, Arkansas-Little Rock, and Lehigh have been looking at me."
He still has an empty offer list, but his explosive skill set is just too hard to overlook. Plus, Dobbins is one of those players that has a very high ceiling and could get even better. He knows this and already sees some qualities in his game that would help him translate well to the next level after high school.
"I know my defense will really help me. I'm long and can force stops, and block shots."
Dobbins said it best, his defense is what really makes him special right now. If his overall offensive mechanics can become as elite as his defense, he has a chance to be a special player in his class. He is already regarded as a top notch player in Arkansas, and the sky is truly the limit for this Future150 Alumni.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Dobbins recruiting process, and patiently wait for his offer list to start growing full of D1 schools.
