James Island, SC (Future150) -- James Island Charter High School (SC) sophomore Da'Von Fludd is a prospect who eats, drinks, and sleeps the sport of basketball. This season, his sticktoitiveness is beginning to pay off.
Playing for his school's varsity squad, he is averaging eight points, three assists, and three rebounds per game, in limited minutes.
While his team is struggling out of the gates, sporting a 4-9 record, coaches and opponents around the Charleston area are well aware of Fludd's potential.
He is currently a diamond in the rough in the lowcountry. While he isn't hearing from any college coaches just yet, his dedication to the sport should soon be changing that.
The 6'2", 155-pound shooting guard told Future150, "I want to get better every day and play to the best of my abilities."
With long limbs, effortless running strides up and down the court, natural instincts, and the athleticism to dunk the basketball with ease, it's easy to see his best basketball being played over the course of a successful college career.
Mirroring his game after Brooklyn Nets scorer MarShon Brooks, he used his time at the Future150 Camp Charlotte sizing himself up against the competition while being named a Top 40 game all-star.
"My experience at the Future150 Camp was awesome! I got a lot better with the drills I did and the quality competition I played against," he told me.
