Chapel Hill, NC (Future150) -- The last time Future150 spoke with David Caraher was the day he made Chris Holtmann and the Bulldogs a very happy bunch.

On February 17th, Caraher let them know he will be spending his college basketball career playing in Hinkle Fieldhouse.

It has been months, so it is time to catch up with David.

David is one of the newest members of Team Loaded VA and has been trying to adjust to his new team and the new league he has been competing in.

"I've just started to play the live period with Team Loaded VA 16's, " said Caraher.  "Playing in the Adidas Gauntlet has certainly been a bit different, different style of play, but still been playing against some good competition."

Not only is Caraher adjusting to a new team, but he has also been trying to adjust his game for his future career at Butler. He knows what the coaching staff expects out of him once he arrives on campus during the 2017-2018 season.

"I'm trying to transition myself into being more of a two and a three player," said Caraher.  "Team Loaded has been letting me do that, as I've been handling the ball more, and shooting a lot more off the dribble, and just creating plays for my teammates.  I'm really just trying to transfer into a fulltime wing in order to take the next step once I get to college."

Caraher, in the past, has usually been known as a three and four guy. But the staff at Butler seem to have a different vision of David, as they want him to succeed Gordon Hayward, and Kellen Dunham and be the next fantastic wing player for them.

"Butler has that screen-and-roll offense and they love kicking the ball to their wings. They want me to be prepared to shoot off the catch like Kellen Dunham does. In addition to, coming straight off of ball-screens, feeding the bigs down low, and running the floor in transition."

Caraher is a perfect fit for Butler because his current skill set aligns with their ideal wing. The things that the staff want him to do in order for the team to succeed are the things he already excels in. The insane part is that he is still going to improve and get better before he puts on a Bulldog jersey.

David is certainly a "hard verbal" commit as he loves everything about Butler.

"I'm going to try to get down there in early August and get together and with the staff and work with Tyler (Lewis) and Kellen (Dunham)," said Caraher.  "I will certainly be coming down this coming season to catch a few games as well."
