Montgomery, AL (Future150) -- Class of 2016 CG Darian Adams of Alabama Challenge has decided that he will be playing his college basketball at Troy University.
This is a huge pick up for the program as Adams was one of the more impressive guards out on the circuit this summer. He was a monster slashing the lane with his quick handles and great strength which helped him finish through contact numerous times. An improved jumper and just an overall confidence boost is what helped Adams max out his potential.
Not only is Troy getting a great player but also just a overall great kid who is loved by his teammates and coaches.
"Darian is a cool guy, super funny. I think he is a good player, probably the best player in the 6A (class) to me." Said AAU teammate Garrison Brooks.
In the previous article on Adams, I noted how fast his recruitment started picking up over this summer after seeing basically zero offers or interest come his way. Now Adams has a home at Troy for the next four years.
It is amazing to see guys like Darian who keep improving and don't lose confidence in their game, despite not recieving much attention from college coaches throughout most of their high school and AAU career.
His story and committment shoud be a lesson to all high school hoopers out there who may start doubting their game after years of which seems like no positive results. You've got to keep finding areas to improve and get better. The confidence and positive results will follow.
