Carrolton, TX (Future150) -- With Sunday being Father's Day and all, players at the D-Town Round Ball Classic are out in full force today looking to impress not only their dad but the Future150 staff. With tons of young talented kids in the gym, here are the top performers from Sunday.
Terry Clardy-2019 CF, Wings Elite: Clardy is one of the most versatile players we saw this weekend. He displayed the ability to score in many ways and one that stuck out the most was his ability to make the 3-point shot consistently. He also loves to get out in transition and trap the ball on defense.
Kylyn Arnett-2019 Wing, Wings Elite: Arnett is a physical kid that knows how to work all areas of the floor on the offensive end. He has a nice, physical frame and rebounds well. He makes his living attacking the rim and finishing through contact. He is definitely one of the more aggressive players we saw in this class.
Drew McNutt- 2019 SG, Team Celtics: For a team starved for height, McNutt generally helped in the pivot. He is fully aware that his future residence is outside the paint. McNutt can shoot the ball well. He rebounds great against older, bigger players.
Jalen Catalon- 2019 PG, Mansfield Trojans: Catalon has a nice frame and good size at 5-foot-9 inches. His handles are tight and he is strong with ball when attacking the rim. He loves to score in transition and has the court awareness to give it up if he has an open teammate. Soild performance today in a tough loss.
Finn Corwin- 2019 PG, Dallas Hurricanes: Corwin is a tough, hard-nosed pass-first point guard. He has a good body. Corwin knows how to use it when attacking the rim. If left open he can knock down the open jumper. He always seems to be making the correct play.
Branton McCrary- 2019 SG, Wings Elite: McCary is a solid guard, who plays hard the whole game. This past weekend he showed a variety of ways to score the rock. He can knock down open shots and score on the fast break, where he was one of the better finishers. He never gives up on a play.
Brock Davis-2020 PF, Tulsa Wildcats: Davis is a strong and aggressive big man that can stretch a defense. His range is out to 15-feet. He proved he can make shots consistently to that distance. He made his living on the offensive glass where scored at will. He keeps his man out high. Lateral mobility and defensive commitment are exceptional.
Seth Chagois- 2020 SF, Tulsa Wildcats: The Wildcats benefited from Chagois' athleticism and strength around the rim. He demonstrated advanced agility, handle, and strength for his level. His older brother, Ethan, has two D1 offers before his enters junior season.
Anthony Taylor- 2020 PG, Shreveport Gators: Taylor backed up his Saturday performance with another strong outing on Sunday. His ball handling allowed him to get anywhere on the floor he wanted. He has a great first step and made a living getting to rim. If you double him, then his court vision will make you pay. He creates easy baskets for his teammates. Strength is the next aspect he needs to work on.
