Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- 2020 SG Christian Williams of Peachtree Ridge High School (GA) put on a show at Future150's Atlanta Main Event tournament a few weeks ago with the Atlanta Playmakers Elite. The rising sophomore has grown six inches over the past year, and is a deadly three way scorer that has the physical make-up of a future D1 guard.
"I think my greatest strengths are my three-point shooting and my ability to score in a variety of ways," Williams said when asked what he personally believes the strengths of his game are. "I also feel like I can score off the bounce really well."
There is no question about his elite three point shooting abilities. Williams had multiple 25+ point games during the weekend in Atlanta and if his defender gave him any room at all, he made sure he made them pay for it.
There is some good basketball genes running through his family as his mom, Teresa, played basketball at UNLV. Even though Williams is still just a freshman, it is easy to see his potential and how high his ceiling his. He knows what he needs to work on in order to keep improving and become the best player he can be.
"I'm working on getting stronger, faster, and attacking the basket," Williams said. "I'm always constantly working to improve my defense."
Williams breakout performances at the Atlanta Main Event was just the beginning of what looks to be a very promising future. Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track his development and recruiting process heading forward.
