Columbus, GA (Future150) -- Over the past few years, Christian Kennedy has positioned himself as one of the most prolific shot-blockers in the state of Georgia. This week, he took another big step in his career.
Kennedy, a 6-foot-10 big man out of Warner Robbins, Georgia, made his commitment to UT-Chattanooga on Tuesday.
“It feels great,” Kennedy responded when asked about how he felt about the decision. “I can relax and enjoy my senior year now and know what I’ll be doing for the next four years.”
Kennedy’s decision ultimately came down to UTC and Jacksonville, but in the end, his relationships with the staff at Chattanooga prevailed.
“I felt really comfortable with the team and the coaching staff. I feel like it is a place I can feel comfortable and be successful for college,” he told Future150.
For those fans not aware of how Kennedy plays the game, he gave us his own diagnosis of himself:
“It will be high-flying action,” he laughed. “I get rebounds, run the floor, get easy baskets, and reject any shot I can get to. I’m excited to be going to Chattanooga.”
It is also worth being noted that UT-Chattanooga picked up a commitment from forward T.J. Williams on Wednesday; he had previously been committed to the Mocs but opened up his recruitment again.
