Alexandria, VA (Future150) -- 2019 SF Christian Depollar of St. Stephens-St. Agnes (VA) had a very impressive freshman high school season. Unfortunately he missed the first eight weeks of summer due to an ankle injury which led to him not being able to play in two of the UAA events. He eventually got back onto the floor and certainly didn't fail to impress, and already has a few schools that have been tracking him.
"Once I got back on the floor, I've seen and heard from Davidson, George Mason, and Rice University a lot," Depollar said.
Standing at around 6'6, Depollar is at his best when slashing to the rim. His presence on defense is another thing that will definitely help him get plenty of D1 looks with his long wingspan and good hands, he can be a headache for opposing offense's.
Now that AAU seaosn is officially over, his full focus is on high school season. Depollar has some very high expectations for his St. Stephens-St. Agnes squad for the upcoming year.
"My main goal is to bring one (a championship) back to Alexandria," Depollar said. "When we play hard together, we're a tough team to beat. If we are all on the same page, and want to cut down the nets at the end of the year, we will. I expect that from this team."
Quotes like this from a young player is something college coaches love to see. It seems like Depollar is ready to put in the work and help to be a leader on his team as a sophomore.
"I know that we have the capabilities of bringing home a championship, and we showed that last year."
Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track Depollar's recruitment process along with his journey to bring some hardware back to Alexandria, Virginia.
