Roselle, NJ (Future150) -- It's turning out to be quite a junior season for 6-foot-8 big man Chris Silva. The Roselle Catholic (NJ) post prospect has used explosive athleticism and a high motor to total impressive results all season long for the New Jersey power, and it has impressed high major programs nationally.
Last night, in a game against national power Montverde Academy (FL), he posted 22 points against top 10 prospect Ben Simmons, who is committed to LSU.
Following the performance, Georgetown offered him a scholarship, joining Cincinnati, Creighton, Miami (FL), Rutgers, Seton Hall, SMU, Syracuse & Villanova as programs who have officially offered.
After watching Silva post 11 points and 16 rebounds in a December game at the 2013 Jameer and Pete Nelson Classic, here is what Roselle Catholic head coach Dave Boff had to say about him.
"Chris is great. It's taken him a bit to get used to the game over here but he's just starting to realize how good he can be. He is getting better every day. He plays hard, runs the floor, and he's a really good defender."
The scary part about Silva's game is that his production is catching up to his physical tools, which will have him rising in the updated 2015 class rankings in a few weeks. Currently, he sits at #145, a number which he is proving is far too low.
