Conyers, GA (Future150) -- 2018 SG Chris King of Rockdale County (GA) is ready to come out on top to end his high school career, and at a brand new location. A native of Meridianville, Alabama and formally a student-athlete at Hazel Green High School (AL), King is ready to contribute in a big way.
"A green-light shooter at 6'1", the Alabama wing has a tendency to get hot in a hurry," Future150 GM Eric Hampford previously said. "Someone who can rack up points in a hurry, he's also a smart defensive player who actively gets into the passing lanes and creates turnovers."
Sadly he is currently recieving zero interest from any college programs at any level, which is highly surprising. His quick release on his jumper along with his pesky on-ball defense matched with his very solid measurements and athleticism make him a very intriguing DII/NAIA prospect. He could no doubt contribute to a program at either of those levels.
Despite the silent recruitment process, King is keeping a good attitude and continues to focus on what he feels like he needs to improve upon during his final season in high school. He's not short of confidence when it comes to believing he can play basketball beyond high school.
"My work ethic is great. I never want to be just average or just be as good as the next man," King said. "I have a willingness to always want to improve and get better."
The Future150 staff will be rooting for and cheering on King hard this season as he tries to land his first offer from a college program. Stay locked in as we track his senior season along with anything related to his recruitment process.
