Detroit, MI (Future150) -- It's hard to keep a low profile when most, including myself, believe you are the best young point guard in the state of Michigan. This is the case for 2016 PG Cassius Winston out of Detroit.
Winston, who is a smooth 6'0 guard from Detroit Jesuit High School, runs the show for the Family 15u team on the AAU circuit. With offers already from Colorado, UMASS, and Iowa St., you realize that others around the country are taking notice as well.
Winston has the ability to run his team with great poise for a young kid, but he also has the ability to take over a game on the offensive end when needed. This was evident a few weeks ago when I watched him drop 33 points in one game, while scoring from all three levels of the floor.
Cassius isn't letting the talk go to his head. He stated, " I really need to work on my strength, explosion, and defense before I get to the next level." With schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Xavier, Georgetown, Ohio State, and Missouri showing interest, he has plenty of time to improve while racking up more major offers.
'Cass' also said, " I don't know about my future, and I'm comfortable leaving the state. I'm just looking for the best fit for me." Winston says he hopes to attend some elite camps this summer to compete against the best. If he continues his strong play, look for that reputation to take off nationally.

Mohamed Bazzi (Dearborn Heights Star International) should be in conversation, saw this kid play in Jackson, Michigan. He has game, Mohamed and Cassius would be a great comparison, both top freshman in michigan.
