New York, NY (Future150) -- One of the top players in the class of 2015 is Carlton Bragg. He has recently made a rapid rise in the rankings thanks to a fantastic, and sometimes dominant, AAU season.
It was his strong play this spring and summer that got Bragg invited to the Big Strick Classic. The history of New York basketball wasn't lost on the young forward.
"It's crazy being in the Gauchos gym. So many great players have played in here, it's a legendary place. It makes me a little nerveous honestly but I just want to have fun."
It is clear that Bragg has become more explosive and has improved his jumpshot as well; making him much more dangerous. He was part of the Adidas Nations circuit this past season and attributes that as part of the reason he has gotten better.
"It was really intense. They trained us really hard and pushed us. It was a great experience," Bragg said.
Now he is one of the most highly sought after recruits in the nation. He lists offers from Indiana, N.C. State, Illinois, Ohio State, West Virginia, UCLA, and Texas. Duke and Kentucky are recruiting him but have yet to extend an offer.
Bragg says he would like to take visits to Kentucky, Indiana, WVU, UCLA, and Texas this fall, although he has yet to set any dates. Look for Bragg's list to continue to grow this fall as he looks to lead VASJ (OH) to a state title.
