Bronx, NY (Future150) -- At the inaugural Future150 New York camp a couple of years ago, there were a number of division one prospects. At the time, a talented sophomore named Donald Cannon-Flores looked himself like he would be one of those D1 players.
Fast forward to this year, and the senior guard is the focal point of a talented Lincoln team that looks like one of the frontrunners to win a city and potential state title. Being the veteran presence means a lot to Cannon-Flores.
"I like when I step on the floor because it's my job to lead and make my teammates better. I see myself as a point guard and we have a young roster so everyone kind of looks to me," he said.
On the recruiting front, things are starting to get interesting for the New York City native.
Kent State, Indiana State, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Memphis, St. Bonaventure, North Carolina A&T and UNC-Wilmington have all reached out and are recruiting him. Indiana State, North Carolina A&T, and UNC-Wilmington have all offered.
At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, "Man Man" has the ability to finish through contact and be a physical defender. He plays bigger than he is and is capable of guarding either position.
While it isn't clear what level he will play at in college, he will bring value to any program as a leader, scorer, and distributor.
