Brooklyn, NY (Future150) -- The amount of talent around the New York City area is back on the rise, especially when it comes to the class of 2017.
Xaverian wing Zach Bruno is one of those talented juniors, and is flying a bit under the radar this season. That has begun to change thanks to a run to the city semi-finals, where Bruno and company will take on Archbishop Molloy on Wednesday night.
A physically imposing wing, Bruno has averaged 16.2 points this season and is considered to be one of the best slashers in the CHSAA. His strength allows him to finish through contact, as well as rebound the ball very well for his position.
Davidson, Maine, Holy Cross and Iona have all begun to keep tabs on him, and that list is bound to grow. St. John's, UCF, Fordham and Miami were among the programs who were in attendence for the CHSAA quarter-finals where Xaverian upset Cardinal Hayes thanks in part to 20 points from Bruno.
Playing with the Juice All-Stars on the Adidas circuit this season, expect Bruno to prove himself to be a top non-power five recruit.
