Milwaukee, WI (Future150) -- UCLA shocked the nation on Thursday afternoon, landing the #3 prospect nationally in the class of 2014, Kevon Looney.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound Milwaukee Hamilton (WI) power forward picked the Bruins over Duke, Florida, Michigan State, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

His recruitment was a closely guarded one, with very few people having a clear indication as to where the skilled forward would be headed. Many people anticipated him picking the Duke Blue Devils, but he shocked the country and decided that he was interested in taking his talents west.

He is a superiorly skilled big man who can produce points in the post or stretch the defense by knocking down deep jump shots. He is also an excellent offensive rebounder and solid shot-blocker on the defensive end.

He is the second recruit in head coach Steve Alford's 2014 class, joining Hungarian big man Gyorgy Goloman.

The Bruins staff will now turn their attention to skilled frontcourt prospects Justice Winslow, Jonah Bolden and Thomas Welsh.
