London, KY (Future150) -- Shooting has enjoyed a rebirth, thanks in large part to the emergence of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
As NBA teams assign more value to outside shooting, college programs are taking note. In fact, shooter-slashers like Peyton Broughton are benefiting from newfound high-major attention.
The Class of 2017 shooting guard, Broughton brings added value to recruiters because he comfortably slashes too. The dribble-drive concept suits his skills perfectly.
Broughton's emergence fortuitously coincides with the parade of shooter seekers.
Just last weekend, Broughton dropped into Birmingham, Alabama for a college visit.
"They have been recruiting me for awhile," said Broughton. "I wanted to get down on campus and see the coaches."
According to the Kentuckian wing the Blazer coach that most frequently reaches out is Associate Head Coach Robert Ehsan.
