Seneca, SC (Future150) -- Class of 2016 CG Brevin Galloway is at the point in his basketball career where he is at peace about his current situation and his future. Something many recruits covet as they feel uneased by all the pressure of potentially transferring to a prep school, choosing a college, etc.
Galloway used to be enrolled at T.L. Hanna high school in South Carolina, but decided to transfer to Seneca and things seem to be going very well. Both in the classroom, and on the hardwood.
"I love Seneca, everyone has truly made me feel like family. From the coaches, students, and even the teachers," Brevin said.
Galloway's decision to transfer to Seneca made the coaching staff extremely excited as they will possess one of the best backcourts in the state. Class of 2016 PG, and Liberty commit Xzaiver Barmore is the other half of the backcourt that will help lead the Bobcats to success this year.
"My expectations are to win a state championship. That's what I came here to do," Galloway said.
The expectations are certainly very high at Seneca this year, especially after showing how truly talented they really are over the later parts of summer when they played against some of the best high schools in North and South Carolina.
"We beat all the powerhouse 4A teams in the state, and we are a 3A school. We only lost one game to Providence Day School (NC)," Galloway said.
Losing to a school like Providence Day is nothing to slouch about as they are one of the best teams on the East Coast, and easily a top-tier team nationally featuring guys like Devon Dotson, and Grant Williams.
Not only is Brevin comforted, and excited about his senior year at Seneca, he is very much looking forward to his college career at the College of Charleston.
"I chose Charleston for many reasons, but the main one was family. I have known Coach Grant since I was ten. He has seen me develop and truly knows all my strengths and weaknesses."
Huge props to Coach Grant for landing Brevin, and doing such a good job of making him feel comfortable and believing in him. Galloway is a steal for Charleston, before he committed he was getting major interest from a number of mid/high-major schools including BYU, and Davidson.
"When I took my official visit, it was the best time I had ever had on a visit. The players, the city, just everything about Charleston is great," Galloway said.
The coaching staff at Charleston fully believes in Brevin and his game, they know by landing him they are taking a major step in the right direction regarding the success of the program.
"The coaching staff has already told me when I come in, that I have the green light. They run a two, and sometimes three guard offense which is to my advantage because I can play the one and distribute as well as play the two and shoot it."
Not only has the coaching staff done a great job in reeling in Galloway, they also landed 3-star big man Chevez Goodwin who was teammates with Brevin on the Upward Stars team of the Adidas Circuit.
Things are surely looking in the right directions for all three parties discussed in this article. Brevin knows things are going his way, and couldn't be any more happy about his future.
"Bottom line is I knew they (Charleston) were sold on me, that's why I felt so comfortable committing earlier than most. I'm going to be the best guard to ever come through Charleston."
