Montverde, FL (Future150) -- After leading the newly-created Montverde Prep team to a winning record in their first year, 2015 guard Brendan Boyle has verbally committed to the University of Central Florida.

"Coach Donnie Jones was excited to know I wanted to go to UCF and I feel confident in him, and the program," Boyle told Future150.

Boyle joins Chance McSpadden, Chad Brown, Elhadji "Tacko" Fall and Tanksley Efianayi in the 2015 class as soon-to-be Knights.

"Orlando is a great place to be, campus is great," Boyle told Future150. "Central Florida basketball is about to make a come up."

After helping the Montverde Academy high school team to their second consecutive national title, Boyle had committed to Middle Tennessee State but in the end decided to come back for another year.

"My perspective change on life just made basketball much easier," Boyle said. "My extra year of prep helped me grow into a man first and a player second."

The newly created MVA Prep team, led by former UNC player turned head coach Dante Calabria is in its first year, and Boyle was a key cog for them. The decision to come back has paid off immensily for the post-grad senior.

"Just everything about my game got better. Especially being the only point guard on the roster, I had to handle well and control tempo for our team to win any type of game," Boyle said. "My handle got so much better and my jumper especially from deep. My body changed physically,"

Boyle has the tools to make an impact right away for the Knights, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

"I want more than anything to help UCF anyway that I can, make it to the NCAA tournament," Boyle said. "Become the best team in the American (Conference), and I think Chad Brown and (Elhadji)
Fall have the same motive in mind."
