New Albany, IN (Future150) -- Blake Murphy is a class of 2018 wing guard from New Albany, Indiana playing at Providence High School this season. Over the summer, Murphy made the trip to Atlanta for Future150's All-Southeast Camp and walked away as one of the best clear-cut college prospects from the event.

"I consider myself an athletic guard who can knock down shots from the perimeter and lock-in on defense," Murphy said. "I'm at my best in transition and attacking the rim."

At 6'5" and 201 pounds, there are no complaints about Murphy's size and frame on the wing. His wingspan isn't the best at just under 6'5", but it doesn't take away from the fact that he is a beast on the offensive end. Not only is he capable of scoring from all three levels, but his feel and understanding of the game also stands out, along with his ability to consistenly finish above the rim and over the top of the defense.

"I think I can compete at the college level because of my athleticism and my understanding of always having to be prepared and always wanting to get better," Murphy said.

As of now, he has zero college offers on the table but has seen some interest from a handful of DII and NAIA programs, including Malone (DII), Bellarmine (DII), and University of St. Francis (NAIA), among others.

Murphy has the skills and physical intangibles neccesary to play low-major basketball at the divison one level, but regardless of level, this young man deserves to have some type of collegiate basketball offer to his name.

Stay locked in with Future150 as we continue to track Murphy's recruitment process throughout his senior season.
