HOUSTON, TX (Future150) -- Last time the Future150 staff talked to 2018 nationally ranked guard Jaedon LeDee, the talk was how much or if he would continue to grow. Well since last season has grown five inches and is one of the major differences in his game from last year.
"The most obvious (difference) would be my five-inch growth spurt I have had over the last year and a half," said LeDee. "As far as my game, I have been learning how to play off the ball and using my length which allows me to play multiple positions which helps my all around game."
LeDee was recognized as one of the top players on multiple websites for his class. There usually is an adjustment for players regarding the speed of the game, the size of the competition, etc.
For LeDee, his experience playing 17u in the summer made the transition easy.
"The transition from middle school ball to high school ball has not been that bad because I played Elite Level 17U this past summer on the Adidas Gauntlet but the guys are still strong and fast," LeDee told Future150. "Beating double and triple teams in high school are harder then they where in middle school."
There are high standards LeDee puts up for himself as he is constantly in the gym to get better.
"What drives me to keep working is that I want to be the best to ever play basketball," said LeDee. "After high school I want to go to college and then hopefully the NBA."
The 15th ranked guard by Future150 in his class has had a good season so far for Kinkaid High School with notable 30 point performances. The kid has a lot of potential especilly being a guard that size, that young.
