Memphis, TN (Future150) -- Austin Nichols is continuing to blossom into a quality high-major player this AAU season, and this weekend was no different. In response to his great play from the past few weeks, the 6-foot-8 power forward has picked up two very impressive offers.
Duke extended an offer to Nichols last week, and Monday rival North Carolina followed with an offer of their own.
Duke also offered Nichols' M33M teammate, Robert Hubbs.
While many assume that these two perennial powers are at the top of his list, the long shot-blocker was quick to deny such rumors.
"I have no leaders at all. I'm completely neutral and wide open," Nichols told Future150.com Monday night.
The Tobacco Road schools join Florida, Virginia, Auburn, Memphis, Tennessee, Texas, and Vanderbilt, along with others, to offer Nichols.
The junior has positive things to say about his new offers.
"Both of the schools' coaching staffs are amazing. They also have great tradition and academic standards," Nichols explained. "Plus their style of play fits me perfectly. I like both schools."
