Memphis, TN (Future150) -- One of the best big men in the country has cut his list from 30 schools to just six schools.
Austin Nichols is down to Tennessee, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Duke, and Virginia.
Nichols is a big man who has a wide array of post moves and runs the floor extremely well for a forward. He can also step out and hit long jumpers. Despite his shooting ability, he knows that he does his best work in the post.
Tennessee has former AAU teammate Jarnell Stokes already on their roster, and Memphis is the hometown program. In addition, Nichols' older sister is a student at Memphis.
Nichols said that Vanderbilt and Auburn attract him due to the level of competition in the SEC.
Duke is attractive due to the track record that they have of winning and putting players into the pros.
Nichols cited his relationship with Tony Bennett as one of the reasons that he is interested in UVA.
He maintains that he is still wide open and will take a visit to UVA on September 8th. Look for him to possibly commit in the early period.
