Kansas City, MO (Future150) -- One of the breakout performers at Future150's "The Summit" Camp back in May was 2016 combo guard Ashton West. After turning in a solid AAU season in July, he has picked up interest from a number of schools, including Missouri and Nebraska. Other schools who have shown interest in recent weeks include the likes of Liberty, EKU, and Weber State.
At 6-foot-2, West is a shifty guard with good ball-handling and passing abilities, he has the confidence to be a great player and is a very good shooter as well. Position-wise, it will be interesting to see what he ends up playing at the next level.
Originally a member of the 2015 class, West and his family decided that he would take a post-grad year after he graduates from Oak Grove (MO) at the end of this year. A big season there could see his recruitment take off to another level.
One thing is for sure, the 2016 class is one that is truly special when it comes to talent and depth, and with the addition of West, it has become even deeper.
